Questions, bug reports and feature requests all go through GitHub Issues: github.com/Cluas/moshpit/issues. Moshpit is a one-person project, so replies take a bit — but every issue gets read, and it's the same place the code lives.

Security problems are the one exception: please don't file them as public issues. Follow the security policy instead.

Common questions

Does Moshpit need anything installed on my server?

No. It's a standard SSH client out of the box. mosh, tmux and herdr are each optional — if one is missing, Moshpit tells you and offers the install command; it never installs anything silently and never falls back to a different multiplexer behind your back.

How does agent status work?

On herdr, agent state is part of the protocol — zero setup. On tmux, a one-line hook install (offered in Settings) lets Claude Code and friends report state; without it, Moshpit falls back to output heuristics.

Why does iOS ask for Local Network permission?

Only so SSH/Mosh can reach hosts on your own LAN (192.168.x.x and similar). Deny it and internet hosts still work fine.

Is my data collected?

No — nothing is. See the privacy policy; the App Store label is Data Not Collected.

Is it open source?

Yes — GPL-3.0, at github.com/Cluas/moshpit: the app, the push relay and the host scripts. The App Store build is the signed, ready-to-install copy, and buying it is what funds the work.

常见问题

我的服务器需要装什么吗？ 不需要，开箱即用就是标准 SSH 客户端。 mosh、tmux、herdr 都是可选项——缺哪个， Moshpit 会告诉你并给出安装命令；它不会静默安装任何东西，也不会偷偷换成别的多路复用器。

Agent 状态是怎么识别的？ 在 herdr 上，agent 状态是协议自带的字段——零配置。在 tmux 上，装一行 hook（设置里就有）能让 Claude Code 等主动上报状态；不装的话，Moshpit 会退化成从输出内容猜。

为什么 iOS 会弹本地网络权限？ 只是为了让 SSH/Mosh 能连到你局域网里的主机（192.168.x.x 之类）。拒绝也不影响连接公网主机。

我的数据会被收集吗？ 不会，什么都不收集。见隐私政策；App Store 隐私标签写的是 Data Not Collected。

开源吗？ 开源，GPL-3.0，仓库在 github.com/Cluas/moshpit，App、推送中转服务器和主机脚本都在。App Store 上的是签好名、直接能装的那一份，买它就是在支持这个项目。
